Trailer Technician - Overnight

We are currently seeking a Trailer Technician to complete preventative maintenance on trailers and refrigeration units. Join Stevens Transport's Paragon Leasing for a growing department with lateral opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and non-routine repairs to meet DOT standards
• Ensure lights are functioning properly and wiring is secure
• Repair or replace coupling issues
• Repair or replace brakes, wheel seals, and suspension
• Repair or replace airlines
• Perform preventative maintenance on ThermoKing refrigeration units
• Maintain a clean and neat shop
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Basic tool set for job functions
• 2+ years of trailer technician experience
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals, and written instructions
• Valid Class C driver's license
• Ability to clearly read, write, and speak English
• Basic math calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Preventative maintenance experience on ThermoKing units

• Trailer repair and maintenance

• Electrical wiring repairs
• Wheel seal replacement
• Organized with a clean workspace

Physical Demands

• Maneuvering around, in, on, and under trucks/trailers in tight spaces for inspection and diagnosis
• Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling
• Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools
• Climbing ladders, stairs, and platforms
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
