About the role
The Trailer Technician at USS United Site Services is responsible for transporting restroom and shower trailers to customer locations. They ensure water, drainage, and electrical systems are operational at the time of installation. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance and janitorial tasks, troubleshooting issues, and delivering and picking up comfort stations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspections and report deficiencies to the shop immediately
- Operate delivery truck to and from designated work sites based on daily routing information
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with Hub Manager or Office Administrator for additional instructions and changes to work locations
- Deliver comfort stations to or pick up from event locations, completing setup and breakdown of all equipment
- Troubleshoot issues during delivery, servicing, or pick-up of comfort stations, including basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
- Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc., in units being serviced and service/repair comfort stations
- Clean interior and exterior of units
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of commercial driving experience
- Valid Driver License (CDL with a class A endorsement)
- Valid forklift certification required
- Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Physical Requirements
- Sit while driving and stand while servicing products
- Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
- Repeat the same movements
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance
- Speak clearly so customers can understand
- Understand the speech of another person
- Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
- Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion
- Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling
- Lift up to 40 lbs from your waist to your shoulders
- Lift 30 lbs from the floor to your head
- Crouch and squat
- Push 100 lbs and pull 100 lbs horizontally
