Responsibilities
- Examine, troubleshoot, and diagnose units that need repair and maintenance performed.
- Install, repair, and maintain interior and exterior components on restroom trailers, shower trailers, laundry trailers, and mobile command centers.
- Deliver, set up, break down, and return trailers before and after rentals are complete.
- Use of testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to repair to manufacturers’ specifications.
- Use of manuals, catalogues, and internet search as needed to perform proper diagnostics.
- Use of electronic and computerized instruments to perform diagnostics.
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and/or upgrade restroom trailers.
- Maintain and install air conditioners, generators, jacks, stairs, plumbing components, and towing systems.
- Repair generators, pumps, and interior components.
- Clean, wash, and maintain trailers as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability and desire to obtain any Certifications and licenses that are required.
- Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance.
- Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
- Keep supervisor appraised of work progress.
- Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
- Able to communicate with supervisors, warranty administrators’, service advisors and manufacturer representatives.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the RV, Automotive, or Carpentry industry with an emphasis on repairs and installations is preferred.
- CDL and/or truck driving experience preferred.
- Must be able to comfortably hook up, tow, and back up large trailers safely.
- Previous experience troubleshooting Dometic and Coleman rooftop a/c preferred.
- Experience with repairs to both A/C 120vlt and D/C 12vlt wiring as well as electrical trailer brake system.
- Knowledge of on demand residential/RV water heaters and small residential type 6 gallon electric water heaters.
- Familiarity with PEX plumbing and working in small spaces to trace leaks and the ability to work in tight areas to make the necessary repairs.
