Trailer Technician
About the role
This field-based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety in their work. You'll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Commercial trailers.
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on Commercial trailers in a field environment.
- Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, suspension and air systems - keeping trailers safe, compliant, and road-ready.
- Repair structural and exterior components such as corner nose rails, corner radius, wheel seals, bottom skirts, panels, doors, and top rails.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.
- Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
- Jump in wherever needed - we're a team that supports each other.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on trailer tech experience working on Commercial trailers.
- DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise that keeps fleets rolling safely.
- Strong communication skills - you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.
- Ready for the outdoors - rain or shine at customer yards.
- Independent, dependable, and self-motivated - you take pride in getting the job done right.
- A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
- Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl, and crouch to access vehicle components.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions - rain or shine.
Skills
- Hands-on experience with Commercial trailer maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of DOT inspection and air brake repair.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with mobile apps and digital tools.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Pay
Earn What You Deserve: Competitive pay starting at $32-35/hr. based on experience.

Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas - safety and precision are key. Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment. Safely handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work. Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.
