About The Role

As a Trailer Mechanic/Technician, you'll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety in their work. You'll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial trailers. Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on commercial trailers in a field environment
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, suspension, and air systems to keep trailers safe, compliant, and road-ready
• Repair structural and exterior components such as corner nose rails, corner radius, wheel seals, bottom skirts, panels, doors, and top rails
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs
• Meet or exceed industry-standard repair times
• Collaborate with the team and assist where needed

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on trailer tech experience working on commercial trailers
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and drivers
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems, and digital tools to document repairs
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions at customer yards
• Independent, dependable, and self-motivated with a positive attitude and safety-first mindset
• Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver's license
• Bring your own hand tools (all other equipment provided)

Work Environment

• Dynamic, high-traffic areas where safety and precision are critical
• Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment
• Handling chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work
• Lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment or components
• Physical activity including bending, kneeling, crawling, and crouching to access vehicle components
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions

Pay

$34–35/hour, based on experience
