Trailer Technician
About the role
The Trailer Technician at USS United Site Services transports restroom and shower trailers to customer locations. This position ensures water, drainage, and electrical systems are operational at the time of installation. Trailer Technicians perform maintenance and janitorial tasks for the trailers throughout their rental period and return them to a USS branch at the end of the rental.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspections and report deficiencies to the shop immediately.
- Operate delivery truck to and from designated work sites based on daily routing information.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with the Hub Manager or Office Administrator to receive additional instructions, changes to work locations, etc.
- Deliver comfort stations to or pick up from event locations, completing setup and breakdown of all equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during delivery, servicing, or pick-up of comfort stations, including basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc., in units being serviced and service/repair comfort stations.
- Clean interior and exterior of units.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding truck logs.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
- Valid Driver License (CDL with a class A endorsement).
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Physical requirements include sitting while driving, standing while servicing products, using hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls, repeating the same movements, seeing details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance, speaking clearly so customers can understand, hearing sounds and recognizing the difference between them, walking up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion, entering and exiting equipment by stepping and kneeling, lifting up to 40 lbs from your waist to your shoulders, lifting 30 lbs from the floor to your head, crouching and squatting, pushing 100 lbs and pulling 100 lbs horizontally.

Salary Range: $23.94 – $33.52 / hour
