About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics for its Seattle, WA Service Center. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company trailers.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic processes on trailers.
- Execute repair work and replace defective parts, components, or systems.
- Conduct overall maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) on trailers.
Requirements
- Experience performing safety inspections and preparing safety documents required by FMCSA, company, and other federal, state, or local regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals.
- Experience repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
- Experience testing equipment for proper performance to ensure work meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with trailer preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to lift 50 lb.
- Own personal tools.
- Dependable work ethic.
- Willingness to work in various climate conditions as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Experience using the Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
- Welding experience.
- Driving yard tractors/trailers.
- Previous experience with Class 8 commercial vehicles.
- Sheet metal and composite panel repair.

Pay
Up to $38.85 per hour.
Schedule
Full‑Time, Monday – Friday, various shifts.
