Trailer Mechanic

Full-Time, Monday – Friday 2nd and 3rd shifts

About the role

As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Interpret technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test equipment for proper performance to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Perform trailer PMs and repairs
• Lift 50lbs
• Work in climate situations when needed

Requirements

• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable

Qualifications

• Experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding experience
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair

Pay

$25.71 - $35.74 per hour
