About the role
We are seeking a DOT inspection certified mechanic with 3 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience for our Spartanburg, SC location.
Responsibilities
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair.
- Trailer suspension installation and repair.
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional).
- Demonstrated skill in inspecting tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).
Physical Demands
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Able to fit through a tank trailer manhole.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and a commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a tank vehicle endorsement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in tank trailer repair.
- DOT certification.

Pay
Pay range is $16.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Schedule
Shift hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am- 4:00pm.
