Trailer Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their Sanger, TX Service Center. Responsibilities include diagnostic processes, repairs, and maintenance of trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company policies, and regulations
• Interpret technical manuals to repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test equipment for proper performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulations
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on trailers
• Lift up to 50 lbs and own necessary tools
• Work in various climate conditions as needed

Requirements

• Experienced in safety inspections and documentation
• Ability to interpret technical manuals
• Experience in repairing or replacing trailer parts
• Knowledge of trailer PMs and repairs
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Own personal tools
• Dependable and willing to work in varying weather conditions

Qualifications

• Experience with Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding experience
• Previous experience with Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair skills

Pay

$35.07 per hour for full-time, Monday-Friday shifts
