About the Role

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Trailer Mechanic at our Burlington Township, NJ Service Center. In this role, you will be responsible for the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Responsibilities

Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations.
Interpret technical manuals.
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
Test equipment for proper performance to ensure work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations.
Perform trailer preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in various climate conditions as needed.

Requirements

Must own your own tools.
Must be dependable.
Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
Welding experience.
Experience driving yard tractor/trailers.
Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles.
Sheet metal and composite panel repair experience.

Pay

Hourly range: $27.47 - $34.02 per hour. Sign-on bonus: $2,500.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Friday, various shifts.
