Trailer Mechanic

About the role

Join Odyssey as a Trailer Mechanic and gain hands on training while working alongside experienced technicians. This role is ideal for candidates with 2 to 3 years of trailer experience looking to grow their skills while performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on 28 to 53 ft. freight trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
• Support pre trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance
• Repair components such as brakes, tires, and trailer systems
• Diagnose issues and collaborate with the team on repairs
• Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• 2+ years of trailer mechanic experience
• Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and schematics
• Basic tools and steel or composite toe boots
• Welding or equipment repair experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license preferred (flexible for strong candidates)
• Ability to work in hot and cold conditions

Pay

Pay Range: $30 to $35 per hour

Schedule

Work Model: Onsite
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (overtime and weekends as needed)
