Trailer Mechanic

Position Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and diagnose refrigeration and heating units.
• Diagnose complex mechanical problems and document work orders through the online AssetWorks system.
• Assess the structural integrity and body of the asset, repair and replace parts as needed.
• Perform the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) annual inspection certification.
• Work in a safe manner and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 3+ years of related experience
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
