About the role

We are seeking a DOT inspection certified mechanic with tank trailer repair experience to join our team at our Portland, OR facility.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
  • Perform tank service and repair.
  • Install and repair trailer suspension.
  • Work with air brake systems and repairs.
  • Show TIG aluminum and steel welding experience.
  • Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).

Requirements

  • Physical demands: Regular lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional lifting up to 75 pounds, fit through a tank trailer manhole, work in confined spaces.

Qualifications

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: diagnosing failures and making repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer; tank service and repair; trailer suspension installation and repair; working with air brake systems and repairs; TIG aluminum and steel welding experience; inspecting tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).

Pay

$27.00 to $41.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
