About the role
We are looking for Trailer Mechanic to work under the direction of the Shop Manager. This role is accountable for proper completion of all work as assigned and must maintain documentation of work. Compliance with all company policies is a strict requirement. Other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Responsibilities
- Chassis/ Tank repairs
- Tank Repairs
- Welding (Tig & Mig on Aluminum, Carbon, and Stainless Steel) preferred, not required
- 90 Day Inspections
- Tank Trailer Maintenance
- Brakes Repair
- ABS Systems FHWA Inspections
- Be on call to fix units
- Light travel in Houston area for repairs
- Clock with other departments
- Coordinate repairs with other departments
- Make cost estimates on Chassis repair for customers
- Monitor and adhere to inventory management system
- Adhere to current programs and policies to ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- HM183 Certified, preferred, not required
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Position requires frequent standing, bending and walking
- Must be able to withstand weather conditions
- Equipped with basic tools
- Willing to work in an open-air workshop
- Tank Trailer repair experience preferred
- Basic MIG, TIG welding experience preferred

Benefits
- Sign-On Bonus Program is in effect for successful applications through 2026. Bonus payments will be made in 25% increments after completing 90 days, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months. This program is subject to renewal or change at the discretion of management with proper posted notification.
