About the role

The Traffic Safety Manager plans, organizes, and coordinates traffic safety programs for Baltimore City. This role involves supervising traffic safety personnel and receiving general supervision from an administrative superior.

Requirements

• Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Have five years of experience in developing and implementing a traffic safety program for a large municipality, including two years of such supervisory responsibilities

Pay

The salary range for this position is $76,299.00 - $122,078.00 annually.

Schedule

Work is usually performed in an office where there are no uncomfortable working conditions; however, incumbents are required to be present at various locations where there may be exposure to inclement weather, noise, and traffic.

Additional Information

Background Check: Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint.

Probation: All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month's probation.
