Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control traffic management devices (CCTV, Dynamic Message Signs, etc.) across Davidson County highways.
- Support first responders, emergency management, and law enforcement communications.
- Detect and report incidents, dispatch service patrols, assist first responders, and notify the public.
- Handle calls from various persons, organizations, and agencies.
- Create and submit work orders for equipment failures or malfunctions.
- Use software applications to control ITS field devices, monitor traffic flow, and perform data analysis.
- Ensure the accuracy of data submissions in logs, reports, and documentation.
- Provide guidance to responders and motorists during severe traffic events.
- Post alerts, notifications, and messages as needed.
- Assist in coordinating responses to disasters and high-profile events affecting roadways.
Qualifications
- High School + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience in traffic management or a related field.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with traffic management software and devices.
