Traffic Engineer Project Manager

About the role

Prepare and supervise traffic and transportation engineering projects primarily associated with land development plans for commercial, institutional, and energy clients. Responsibilities include traffic data collection, detailed traffic analysis, and the preparation of formal transportation studies. Assist in the preparation and oversight of Permit Plans for access to State and Local roadways, and ensure all required forms and documentation are completed for permits.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze traffic data
• Prepare formal transportation studies
• Assist in the preparation and oversight of Permit Plans
• Ensure all required forms and documentation for permits are completed
• Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials throughout the project lifecycle
• Work on projects for developers, architects, commercial, big box retail, and industrial clients
• Manage and supervise staff

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
• P.E. Certification
• 10+ years' progressive engineering experience with a focus on traffic and transportation engineering
• Previous experience in project management and staff supervision
• Traffic engineering experience including data collection, analysis, report preparation (with a focus on Transportation Impact Studies)
• Preparation of Highway Occupancy Permit Plans
• Proficiency in traffic engineering software such as Highway Capacity Software (HCS) and Synchro/SimTraffic
• Ability to speak and write professionally
• P.T.O.E. certification

Qualifications

• Experience working on projects for developers, architects, commercial, big box retail, and industrial clients
• Proficiency in computer drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or InRoads
