Traffic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering design and analysis related to traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, lighting, work zone traffic control, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and traffic operational analyses.
• Work in a team environment, collaborating with roadway, structures, hydraulics, and environmental groups within our Transportation business unit.
• Prepare design and cost estimates.
• Meet with clients.
• Aid in proposal development.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT and/or PE preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in traffic engineering.
• MSHA, MDTA, VDOT and/or design-build experience preferred.
• MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience required.

Skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Leadership skills desirable.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $87,000 to $112,000*
