Traffic Engineer (5-8 years of experience), Transportation

About the role

Responsible for overseeing traffic flow and safety improvements in urban areas. Works closely with city planners and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Manage traffic signals and signs to optimize traffic flow
• Conduct traffic studies to identify congestion points and propose solutions
• Collaborate with city planners and engineers to implement traffic management plans
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations
• Provide technical support and training to city staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of traffic engineering software
• Experience with traffic signal control systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually

Schedule
