Key Responsibilities
- Cook up domestic and international shipments from origin to final destination.
- Manage the end-to-end transportation process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Gather shipment information and troubleshoot transportation and logistics issues as they arise.
- Prepare, review, and maintain transportation documentation, including customs and shipping records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and company policies.
- Track and maintain transportation metrics, reports, logs, and distribution records.
- Schedule cargo to meet customer delivery requirements and timelines.
- Plan and optimize load configurations to maximize transportation efficiency and compliance with load requirements.
- Communicate with carriers, customs agencies, and internal departments to support shipment execution.
- Maintain accurate records within transportation and data management systems.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry applications.
- Knowledge of transportation systems, including AS400 (preferred).
- Experience with max-load or load-planning transportation systems (preferred).
- SAP experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with customs documentation and transportation regulations (preferred).
What We Offer
- Compensation: Salaried non-exempt role with a starting salary range between $39,000 - $51,000 annually. Overtime pay applies when working more than 40 hours in a week.
