Traffic Clerk

About the Role

Apply today for the opportunity to promote to a Traffic Clerk at our Hazleton, PA location. This role involves leading and training a team responsible for compiling and maintaining records of inbound and outbound shipments, planning and directing driver assignments, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of shipping/receiving documents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and direct the work of a Traffic Clerk team
• Ensure timely follow-up on all issues or concerns
• Act as a liaison between operations and transportation to verify shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and timely
• Partner with operations and transportation to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports (if applicable)
• Communicate concerns and route reports to appropriate team members
• Provide ongoing training to team members as needed

Shift Options

Monday to Thursday | 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Requirements

• Basic math skills may be required at some facilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external customers (English may be required)
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites, while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear (may be required at some facilities)
• May be required to lift a minimum of 20 lbs./9 kgs. (weight may be more dependent upon facility)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, which can be loud at times
