What We Need: We’re seeking a skilled Traffic and Weather Reporter What You'll Do: Gather regional traffic information and enter details into internal computer and web systemsRead traffic reports, commercials, and public service messages to listenersIdentify, research, and create copy regarding traffic to feature during on-air shift; finalizes content using digital audio editing softwareManage information; keeping all facts straight, making sure details are accurate and current, and tracking any changesMaintain crucial deadlines in order to provide traffic updates in a timely fashionMay prepare written content, visual images, audio material and video footage for websites, blogs, or other social-media platforms What You'll Need: Reside in Atlanta metro.Knowledge of local coverage area geography and roadways, mass transit and traffic patternsExperience with Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePointPleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciationExperience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, “newsroom-like” collaborative environmentAbility to plan and organize, set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentMust be willing to work split shifts; 4 hours in AM Drive, 4 hours in PM DriveMust be willing to work weekendsPrevious on-air broadcast experienceCollege degree is preferred but not required What You'll Bring: Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in returnAbility to work within prescribed guidelines without needing close supervisionProblem solving skills within established proceduresUnderstanding of when to seek guidance for unforeseen problemsClose attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to act in a professional manner and collaborate with colleagues of different levels Location: Atlanta, GA: 1255 Makers Way, Suite A, 30318 Position Type: Regular Time Type: Part time Pay Type: Hourly Benefits: iHeartMedia’s benefits offering is flexible and offers a variety of choices to meet the diverse needs of our changing workforce, including the following: Employer sponsored medical, dental and vision with a variety of coverage options (employees meeting ACA measurement)A 401K planEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost – services include telephonic counseling sessions, consultation on legal and financial matters, emotional well-being, family and caregivingA range of additional voluntary programs, such as spending accounts, student loan refinancing, accident insurance and more!
