Tradition Surgery Center provides an uncompromising, safe, and comfortable environment for surgical specialties. Our goal is to offer patients a comfortable setting that prioritizes their safety. The center is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the newest technology and staffed by experienced professionals. It adheres to the strictest standards established by the Florida Department of Health, Medicare, and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The center features two Operating Rooms and two Procedure Rooms, specializing in gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, pain management, podiatry, and urology.

About the Role

Operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic x-rays (if applicable) on patients as ordered by the physician and under the physician’s guidance. Assist in preparing operating/procedure rooms as needed. Maintain all necessary documentation, logs, and equipment reports related to radiology services at the center.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in x-ray/fluoroscopy technologist skills.
• Select exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce high-quality images.
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment proficiently.
• Oversee and manage required maintenance of equipment, including cleaning, care, storage, and calibration.
• Demonstrate proficiency in procedure preparation by assembling necessary supplies and positioning aids according to the physician’s preference card.
• Practice radiation safety for self and patients by wearing radiological monitoring devices and adhering to radiation protection principles.
• Maintain established safety, environmental, and infection control standards; report infractions to supervisor.
• Follow the center’s exposure control plans for bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
• Document duration of radiation, test equipment weekly, and examine protective x-ray aprons for integrity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Radiology Technologist license (as required by State).
• ARRT certification (as required by State).
• BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy).

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of fluoroscopy experience.
