Tradesman

Location: Plant Operations/District Wide – Year Round, 9:00 am–5:00 pm (Monday–Friday)

Starting salary: $30.70/hr after 90-day probationary period (5% less during probation). Benefits per collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience in a related field, with fundamental knowledge of procedures, methods, and use of equipment (hand tools and floor/bench equipment) in all School District trades classifications.
• Valid New Hampshire Driver’s License.
• High school graduate degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs all maintenance, repairs, and minor alterations of school district buildings, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Performs routine carpentry, masonry repair, and machinery repair work on a variety of assignments.
• Repairs doors, windows, and associated hardware.
• Performs key duplication and cylinder replacement.
• Maintains assigned storage and work spaces in a secure, neat, and orderly condition.
• Maintains all assigned equipment, conducting any required preventive maintenance.
• Provides labor pool for movement of school district property and snow removal.
• Completes all required administrative work in a complete and timely fashion.
