About the role
The role of Trades Specialist involves selling DEWALT, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands to end-user customers in the commercial construction field. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining key relationships, teaching and mentoring local market teams, and implementing marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals & objectives.
- Sell to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with end-user partners.
- Teach and mentor local market teams on end-user development processes.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives with Channel Marketing.
- Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and planning tool.
- Communicate successes and failures to improve processes and future success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred.
- Relevant construction field experience could be substituted for higher education.
- 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
