Trades Generalist (HVAC/Plumbing or Electrical)

Responsibilities

• Performs journeyman work in one trade and skilled/semiskill level work in another trade in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• May be asked to perform boiler mechanical maintenance and repair tasks including machining, welding, rebuilding of non-pressure vessel equipment of the Central Heating Plant such as fuel and ash handling systems, pumps and fans, etc.
• May calibrate and maintain process control, combustion and emissions monitoring equipment.
• May operate a front-end loader.
• Initial work assignment includes repairs on air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, cooling towers, boilers, pumps and preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment.
