Trades Generalist

About the role

Function as a skilled worker in a primary trade (preferably plumbing) and perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled activities in one or more related trades to meet maintenance program requirements. Trades Generalists are assigned to small State facilities as the sole journey-level maintenance worker or to settings where flexibility across multiple trades is required. Incumbents plan and lay out construction, repair, and maintenance projects.

Requirements

• Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled journey-level worker, providing training equivalent to an apprenticeship program.
• Apprenticeship training in a trade or completion of technical courses in a trade at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Preference given to candidates with plumbing experience.

Pay

$50,425 – $61,548 per year.
