About the role

The Trades Specialist will join our Commercial Construction field sales team in Los Angeles, CA. They will sell DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands to end-user customers. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining key relationships, teaching and mentoring local market teams, and partnering with Channel Marketing to implement marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals & objectives
  • Sell to end-user customers using DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with end-user partners
  • Teach and mentor local market teams on end-user development
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives with Channel Marketing
  • Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and planning tool
  • Communicate successes and failures to improve processes and future success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred
  • Relevant construction field experience could be substituted for higher education
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record delivering results
  • Experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results
  • Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

Pay

The total target cash compensation range for this position is $100,800.00 - $162,300.00. This is the lowest to highest total target cash compensation range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Total target cash compensation offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.

Schedule

The role is eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission. Therefore, the total target cash compensation range is inclusive of base salary and target variable cash compensation.
