About the role
The Trades Specialist position is available in Fresno, CA, as a field-based role within the Commercial Construction field sales team. This is a virtual position with top-notch professionals globally supporting some of the world’s most beloved brands.
Responsibilities
- Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals & objectives through selling DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands to end-user customers.
- Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners through product and services solutions as well as management of CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs for user responsibilities.
- Teach and mentor local market teams on the process of End User development, including identifying contacts, understanding the purchasing process, and aligning efforts with local teams.
- Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
- Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and Planning tool.
- Communicate successes and failures in a timely manner to develop a more streamlined process and future for success with key accounts and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred.
- Relevant construction field experience could be a substitute for higher education.
- 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record delivering results and experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.
- Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.

Pay
The base pay range for this position in California is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
Schedule
This is a field-based position with virtual support from the global team. Travel up to 50% within the assigned territory is required.
