Trade Compliance PM Governance, Global Trade Controls and Oversight, AWS Compliance & Security Assurance
About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Global Trade Compliance Program Manager to build upon our controls and oversight program and support our expanding business on a broad range of global import and export compliance matters. This role will have a heavy focus on leveraging technology and data to scale internal validations. The team member in this role will build a best in class internal review program.
The position will report to the Manager of Global Trade Controls and Oversight for AWS in Arlington, VA. AWS is at the forefront of providing a broad set of global cloud-based services including compute, storage, databases, networking, analytics, deep Machine learning, robotics, and enterprise applications, to help organizations move faster, lower IT costs, and scale.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and defines a plan of action to advance AWS' internal validations program.
- Build communications and training plans to ensure all internal and external partners are aware and aligned to trade controls and risk mitigation.
- Manage global import/export regulatory or procedural changes that impact the trade compliance governance program.
- Clearly communicate the changes and associated impact on the trade compliance program to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain data-informed metrics and monitor for actionable insights that enhance the trade controls program.
- Establish and manage positive business relations with key stakeholders and business teams.
- Generate and contribute to performance requirements, timelines, and metrics for all related activities.
- Proactively identify and drive automation, simplification, and process improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain a strict adherence to reporting and assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working cross functionally across several teams.
- Experience in customs.
- Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau).
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies experience.
- Master's degree or above.
- Experience in Trade Compliance and/or Supply Chain industry, i.e. as customs agent/officer, compliance specialist, or customs operations.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $102,000.00 - $178,400.00 USD annually for locations in CA, San Diego, VA, Arlington, and WA, Seattle, and $112,200.00 - $196,300.00 USD annually for location in NY, New York. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
