Trade Compliance Coordinator II
About the role
The Regional Trade Compliance Coordinator supports ITT Flow Technologies sites in Seneca Falls, NY, and Lancaster, PA, to meet trade compliance requirements. Key responsibilities include managing export licenses, ECCN, and deemed exports, coordinating licensing reviews, and supporting the Export Trade Compliance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage export licenses, export commodity code classification (ECCN), and deemed export compliance.
- Ensure compliance with US Export Regulations as outlined by the US Department of Commerce (EAR), the Office of Foreign Asset Control, and other special trade programs/exporting regulatory requirements.
- Work with the purchasing group to handle outsourcing activities related to trade compliance, including classification and transfer of controlled technical data.
- Coordinate site-level actions for all new international orders, ensuring they are released for processing after licensing reviews.
- Perform licensing reviews for product shipments and technology transfers, including marketing materials, proposals, and engineering data.
- Support Lancaster's Export Trade Compliance Manager as needed.
- Identify potential trade compliance vulnerabilities and risks through order reviews and audits, working with local managers to develop/implement corrective action plans.
- Provide reports on trade compliance efforts as requested.
- Stay updated on trade compliance governance, advances, and changes, and communicate relevant information to different departments.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in International Business, Contract Management, Business Law, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance-related activities, including export due diligence, screening, licensing, and classification.
- Knowledge of U.S. trade compliance regulations, including Export Administration Regulations, US Census, and Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge of regulations to complex business transactions.
- Due to U.S. Government regulations, US person status is required for access to controlled technology and assessing its classification.

- Experience in a regulated industry, particularly in trade compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with trade compliance software.
