About the Role
Hanwha Qcells designs, builds, and manages financially sustainable solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions. The company brings a decade of global leadership in solar PV to North America, combining best-of-world technology, processes, and partnerships to deliver utility-grade solar PV solutions customized for the US energy market. This role is based in Cartersville, GA, and requires onsite presence 5 days a week. Relocation assistance is available as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal compliance procedures and policies and ensure adherence.
- Oversee Qcells compliance with customs and trade laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Stay abreast of legal and corporate requirements in customs, trade, and related areas.
- Report Qcells compliance with customs and trade laws and regulations to management.
- Train and educate staff and stakeholders regarding legal and corporate requirements and updates.
- Develop customs compliance procedures and ensure compliance.
- Manage and communicate with Customs brokers.
- Ensure adherence with Broker SOPs.
- Maintain tariff classification database.
- Assist with value and origin assessments.
- Conduct post-entry audits of Customs entries.
- Manage retention of import records.
- Liaise with Qcells legal and management teams.
- Understand internal ERP systems.
- Audit compliance with policies and laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or other relevant area.
- 8-10 years of compliance or risk management experience in customs and trade law.
- Candidate must hold a valid US Customs Broker license.
