Position Overview
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of boats on trailers throughout our property with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a yard tractor to move boats on trailers throughout the facility
- Hook up, transport, and position boats for storage, service, and display
- Conduct pre- and post-operation safety checks on all equipment
- Follow all company safety protocols and traffic patterns within the yard
- Communicate clearly with service and storage teams to ensure proper placement
- Assist with general yard organization and cleanliness
- Report any equipment or safety issues immediately to management
Requirements
- Prior experience operating a tractor, yard spotter, or heavy equipment
- Strong commitment to safety and situational awareness
- Ability to back, turn, and maneuver large boat/trailer combinations in tight spaces
- Physically able to climb in/out of tractors and move trailer connections
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Positive attitude and ability to work in outdoor conditions
Preferred
- Experience handling boats or marine trailers
- Forklift certification a plus
