Track Panel Assembler I
About the role
This position prepares track for assembly by cutting and drilling according to production schedules. Responsibilities may include performing tasks typically associated with other jobs within the department.
Essential Duties
- Obtain work orders and production schedule and choose raw materials accordingly
- Perform quality assurance inspection to ensure raw materials meet established standards
- Drill holes according to work order using precise measurements
- Inspect track for accuracy
- Apply product and identification labels
Essential Job Skills And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing or assembly line experience preferred, but not required
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and more than 50 lbs. using a team-lift
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Good hand-eye coordination
Physical Environment/Working Conditions
- Standing, walking, and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day
- Grasping and fine finger manipulation on both hands
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Grasping and fine manipulation on both hands
- Noise levels can become high
- Plant is not climate controlled
- Mechanical machinery, parts, or vibration present
