About the role
Dover Precision Components (DPC) is a subsidiary of Dover Corporation, focusing on pumps and process solutions. DPC offers mission-critical equipment to the oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical, and general processing industries.
Responsibilities
- Read, use, and understand electrical/ mechanical schematic drawings.
- Assemble panels, including prepping, wiring, and final assembly.
- Fits, files, drills, and assembles junction boxes and panels.
- Performs a wide range of diversified and difficult electrical assemblies.
- Assembles electrical components, terminals, and push buttons.
- Cuts, strips, and mounts wires to connect electrical units.
- Closes job orders daily for the assigned value stream.
Qualifications
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Two years of minimum manufacturing experience.
- Basic math skills, including calculator use.
- Experience with using computers and Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.
- Experience wiring electrical panels, instrumentation, and devices.
- Ability to work from detailed schematics, wire lists, bill of materials, engineering drawings, and documentation.

Position Type, Schedule, and Travel
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00-3:30 pm or 3:30-12:00 am. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Lifting and carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 lbs. (sometimes more).
- Standing and walking: Stand for extended periods (8 -12 hours).
- Bending, stooping, and reaching: Regularly need to bend, twist, kneel, or squat; frequently reach above the shoulders or below the waist.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination: Perform repetitive tasks with hands, such as assembling small parts, packing, or sorting; use small hand tools, requiring fine motor skills.
- Visual and hearing acuity: Visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses) to read labels, gauges, blueprints, or assembly instructions.
- Work environment: Tolerance for light noise, dust, light, and light soldering smoke; exposure to moving mechanical parts (must be able to wear PPE).
