Responsibilities
- Repair pylons and fence as needed
- Remove and place rail as required
- Minor carpentry work
- Minor welding repairs
- Auxiliary work with landscaping staff
- Operate equipment/machinery as needed
Qualifications
- Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude
- Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License

- Maintain a professional work environment with management and staff
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

- Must be able to work in a highly populated fast-paced and noisy environment
