Job Description

Overview

This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. This position will support all the facilities in the market as needed.

Job Description and Requirements

- Specialty: ICU & CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 Weeks - 36 Hours per week available - Shifts available: PM and AM - Employment Type: Local or Travel Contracts - Facilities: Piedmont Medical Center.

Local Contract pay currently $70 ICU & CVICU $75 an hour. Travel Contracts are approx $2300 ICU & CVICU $2520 weekly. Contract pay can change according to market conditions and this rate is not guaranteed. You must speak with a Recruiter to confirm rates at time of signing a 13 week contract.

Responsibilities

- Assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level - Supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated - Accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care - Supporting all facilities in the market as needed

Requirements

  • BLS and ACLS
  • Must have 2 years of Acute Care experience with a minimum one-year current experience in your specialty of ICU

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree).
  • 2 years of current experience in their specialty.
  • Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; AHA BLS.

- Vision: Near vision corrected to normal for depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, ability to read a computer screen, and ability to adjust focus - Hearing: Overhead speakers, telephone, radio, and other medical equipment - Manual dexterity: Ability to use hands to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects - Physical stamina: Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, stand, walk, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach - Physical ability: Ability to move from lying to sitting to standing position - Repetitive motion: Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, and reach - Posture: Ability to maintain proper posture - Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Coordination: Ability to coordinate arms and legs together while moving the body - Flexibility: Ability to bend, stretch, twist, and reach - Reaction time: Ability to react quickly to emergency situations - Stamina: Ability to work long hours without tiring - Alertness: Ability to remain alert and aware of surroundings, to notice and respond to signs and warnings - Other physical abilities: Ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Salary: The wage for this local contract assignment is currently $70-$75 an hour for local contracts and approximately $2300-$2520 gross weekly for travel contracts. These are contracted rate positions where the wage is determined at the time of posting and can occasionally experience market fluctuations causing the actual wage to vary slightly.
