Responsibilities
- Directs, supervises, orients/trains, and evaluates staff.
- Enforces policies, procedures, and standards of operation.
- Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of all areas managed to include instructing and mentoring other personnel.
- Ensures the highest level of quality patient care is always maintained and ensures smooth operation of the department.
- Approves timekeeping, maintains staffing, meets applicable regulatory standards, and approves supply orders.
- Participates in department strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related Allied Health Specialty based on the assigned department.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Allied Health Specialty, Health Administration or Business based on assigned department.
- Experience: 3 years of progressive management experience in an acute care facility. Additional experience may be required based on assignment.
- Certifications: Certification, Licensure and Registration to be determined based on the assigned department. AHA BLS. Additional AHA levels may be required based on patient population managed.
Physical Demands
- Lift/position up to 25 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 25 lbs. of force.
- Frequent sitting.
- Moderate standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and bending.
- Manual dexterity, mobility, touch, auditory to perform all the related duties of the position.
