Toxicology Technologist

Responsibilities

• Determine specimen acceptability based on established criteria
• Support operational tasks such as inventory management, ordering, and QC/Calibrator lot conversions
• Perform MMA extraction and testing, along with routine and complex technical procedures
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution
• Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Replenish supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to PPE protocols

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology, or MLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience, preferably in Toxicology

• Ability to pass a color blindness test and work flexible hours if needed
