Toxicology Intern

Responsibilities

• Participate in an orientation program that includes laboratory tours, safety protocols, and administrative tasks.
• Shadow laboratory technologists to understand the workflow of toxicology testing and processing.
• Training overview on how to accessioning samples.
• Learn about various laboratory techniques, including sample processing, data analysis, review and interpretation of chromatographic data according to established procedures.
• Review and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to laboratory technical operations, quality control, instrument maintenance.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to gain knowledge on compliance with quality assurance standards and protocols.
• Undergo assessments to track progress.
• Deliver a final presentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Toxicology, or other closely related field.
• Strong interest in toxicology diagnostics and laboratory work.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
