About the role
Copart is seeking skilled and dedicated Class C tow truck drivers to transport vehicles (mostly damaged) from shops, tow yards, and private residences to our local Copart locations. You will also have the opportunity to travel nationwide for catastrophe response, including hurricanes, flooding, and other natural disasters, as well as support other Copart locations across the country.
Responsibilities
- Willingness to travel nationally on short notice for extended periods
- Deploy to catastrophe events within 24 hours when directed
- Pick-up and delivery of vehicles to designated Copart facility
- Load and unload vehicles safely and free of damage
- Operate company equipment in compliance with safety regulations
- Commitment to safety, productivity, and professionalism
- Maintain Hours of Service logs
- Maintain and ensure good operating condition of all equipment and facilities
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager in support of daily operations
Requirements
- Must meet background screening criteria
- Must possess a valid Class C Driver’s License issued by your state of residence
- Willingness to travel, including by airplane, as required
- Ability to work long hours (12+ hours per day) when needed
- Ability to travel with 24 hours or less notice
- Ability to work in extreme conditions, weather, and terrain
Previous towing experience is preferred. Military applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Pay
$23.40 per hour. Earning potential of $75,000+ annually, with top performers earning $100,000+ per year through our piece-rate pay system.
