About the role

Copart is seeking skilled and dedicated Class C tow truck drivers to transport vehicles (mostly damaged) from shops, tow yards, and private residences to our local Copart locations. You will also have the opportunity to travel nationwide to aid in catastrophe response situations, including hurricanes, flooding, natural disasters, and supporting other Copart locations.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel nationally on short notice for extended periods of time
• Deploy to catastrophe events within 24 hours when directed
• Pick-up and delivery of vehicles to designated Copart facility
• Load/unload vehicles safely and free of damage
• Operate company equipment in compliance with safety regulations
• Commitment to safety, productivity, and professionalism
• Maintain Hours of Service logs
• Maintain and assure good operating condition of all equipment and facilities
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager in support of daily operations

Requirements

• Must meet background screening criteria
• Must possess a valid Class C Driver’s License issued by your state of residence
• Travel will be required, including traveling by airplane at times
• Ability to work long hours (12+ hours per day) when needed
• Ability to travel with 24 hours or less notice
• Ability to work in extreme conditions, weather, and terrain

Previous towing experience preferred. Military applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay

$25.75 per hour. Earning potential of $75,000+ annually, with top performers earning $100,000+ per year under our piece-rate pay system.

$45 per day Per Diem when traveling.
