About the role
The role of Toponymist & Geospatial Linguist (Mid-Level) involves analyzing and mapping linguistic patterns across various languages to support intelligence operations. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in geospatial linguistics and a strong understanding of multiple languages.
Responsibilities
- Analyze linguistic data to identify patterns and trends relevant to intelligence operations.
- Create and maintain geospatial databases for linguistic analysis.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate linguistic data into broader intelligence strategies.
- Develop and refine methodologies for linguistic analysis in complex environments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Linguistics, Geography, or related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in geospatial linguistics.
- Fluency in at least two languages, with proficiency in additional languages preferred.
- Experience with GIS software and database management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
