Responsibilities

• Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath’s Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Affixes to company policies and regulations regarding surface mining operations.
• Operates a company vehicle if required, meeting the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage areas.
• Assists with maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and landscaping.
• Reports any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Participates in safety meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: None
• Work Experience: 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask and work effectively. Ability to safely use and handle a variety of tools, equipment, and materials. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently. Ability to read and understand engineering prints (civil work, structural work, rock excavation work). Ability to work as part of a project planning team. Previous quality experience is required. MSHA Underground miner training would be considered an asset. Underground Mining experience would be an asset as would knowledge of applicable mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.
• Other Requirements: Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. High level of attention to detail, neatness, and accuracy.
