Role Summary

This position involves managing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure and servers to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The role requires hands-on technical expertise in system administration, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and security management. It offers an opportunity to support critical IT operations within a collaborative environment, primarily on-site.

Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for management platforms. - Manage and administer enterprise operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux distributions, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access. - Utilize enterprise monitoring tools to proactively track network performance, server health, and bandwidth usage, resolving issues before they affect business operations. - Serve as an escalation point for complex network and server issues, performing root cause analysis and supporting network engineering efforts. - Execute routine patch management, firmware updates, and system backups to maintain system integrity. - Enforce network security protocols, manage firewalls, and ensure compliance with security standards. - Maintain accurate documentation for network topology, server configurations, and standard operating procedures. - Monitor network communications protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, and SMTP to ensure reliable connectivity. - Support virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V to optimize resource utilization. - Collaborate with technical teams to improve system performance and security measures.

Qualifications

- Proven experience managing enterprise operating systems including Windows Server and Linux distributions such as Ubuntu or Red Hat. - Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, and SMTP. - Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools like NNMi, HPNA, Zabbix, or Datadog. - Familiarity with IT management platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center, BlueCat LiveNX, or Cisco ThousandEyes. - Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network connectivity issues efficiently. - Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Server+, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator are preferred. - Available for on-site work and able to perform in a fast-paced technical environment. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. - Eligible to work in the required location without restrictions.
