Tooling Technician

Responsibilities

• Build and finish/polish production and prototype thermoforming tooling and parts by hand and using tools
• Examine all surface areas during the finishing process
• Perform service and periodic maintenance on vacuum forming tools
• Assist in tool changes
• Assist in shop maintenance tasks as necessary

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in the Tooling industry (benchwork, tool finishing/polishing), strongly preferred
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Tool & Die maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Carpentry experience
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be proactive and show initiative in taking on and completing projects

Work Environment

• Frequently sits and stands for extended periods of time
• Frequently reaches, bends, pulls, and lifts up to 50 lbs
• Frequently uses small hand tools
