Tooling Repair and Maintenance Technician

Primary functions of this role are the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of tooling and equipment used on an Inkjet Manufacturing Final Assembly Line.
Responsibilities
- Repair and preventive maintenance of motor drivers, conveyor systems, vision systems, cylinders, online test and inspection equipment, ink delivery systems, fixtures, lift mechanisms, and pallet shuttle systems.
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures and work with approved cleaning chemicals.
- Support modification of existing tooling and installation and commissioning of new tooling for the assembly line.
- Streamline activities under common initiatives, managing achievements and touchpoints to ensure alignment and unity across teams.
- Execute design work that consistently meets defined quality standards within specified timelines.
- Identify team needs regarding processes, tools, documentation, and asset management, and drive necessary changes to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct design reviews with peers and management to demonstrate that designs meet specification targets and requirements.
- Develop design systems and standards that can scale across organizations and be deployed across various global businesses.
- Collaborate with platform architects and systems groups to define overall specifications based on system requirements.
- Act as project management administrator to ensure all required project information and documentation are provided clearly on drawing sets.
- Apply design thinking methods, translating requirements into hypotheses, conducting research, and facilitating activities to uncover connections with products.
- Generate innovative new product ideas through collaborative team brainstorming and exploration.
- Foster the team's knowledge of best design practices and trends in design.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to individual contributors in lower-level roles, contributing to their growth in the organization.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically 6-8 years of related work experience, preferably in product design or a related field.
- Preferred: AutoCAD Certification.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $29 to $43 USD per hour (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
