About the Role
The Mold Cleaner oversees servicing injection molds after production according to accumulated shots and condition reported by production.
Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00
Responsibilities
- Ensures that molds are cleaned, greased, and serviced correctly to be prepared for the next production run.
- Prepares molds with the right configuration per drawings according to the production schedule.
- Inspects and evaluates wear, damage, or abnormal conditions in molds and addresses them to the tool maker and/or engineering.
- Maintains accurate mold storing locations.
- Supports all tool room activities related to molds.
- Coordinates with production to ensure that all molds are available and ready to run on time.
- Documents all work performed on molds.
- Adheres to good manufacturing practices and safety guidelines.
- Follows schedule for work shifts, meetings, time off, overtime, and breaks.
- Performs minor machining activities required to service molds (Bridgeport, lathe, surface grinder).
Qualifications
- High School diploma or college degree.
- Mechanical skills.
- Detailed and organized.
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics.
Requirements, Skills & Experience
- 2 to 4 years in an injection molding environment.
