Position Responsibilities
- Program, setup, and machine parts on 3 and 5 axis mills, lathes, and live tooling lathes
- Develop, prepare, and maintain all documentation related to the design, fabrication, and usage of various tooling items and their respective associated calibration equipment
- Utilize manual equipment to fabricate or modify various tooling components (Examples: Bridgeport mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, drill press, etc.)
- Other responsibilities may include: Equipment Maintenance & Calibration, CNC machining, Welding, Composites Modification, Tooling Inspection, Laser Tracking, and much more
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working in a machining environment
- High school graduate or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with CAD/CAM Software (MasterCAM)
- 5+ years of experience in programming & operating CNC machinery (Examples: 3 and 5 axis mills, lathes, live tooling lathes)
- Technical trade school certificate/degree (Or appropriate apprenticeship completion)
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Additional Information
- This is a union-represented position
- This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM 837) Collective Bargaining Agreement
- The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned
- New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start.
- Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of (120) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period.
